Not as rich sounding as the real thing, or a Duncan 59/Seth, or some boutique PAF wind. But usable nonetheless. I've only heard the V2 a couple times, and I remember it to be equally lackluster. I have some guitars with V1's in them, and I'm not changing them out. So they're at least good enough to withstand my usability test, if that helps. They're not rare at all BTW.
