3 Pickups - 3 Volume Controls

i am running 3 different and unique picups in my strat, is it possible to just have volume controls on the pickups and lose the tone controls altogether? i dont mess with tone anyway, and by turning the volume down slightly, you get similar to the same response as the tone knob does.

Sure - just wire a volume for each between the pickup and the 5-way switch. Of course, if you've got 3 volumes, you may not need the switch at all.

Yes, it's possible. The question is: Is it worth the effort? Would a master volume, like the stock strat wiring, still be good enough? If so, just desolder the tone circuits from the switch and you're done. If you want three individual volume circuits, just put them between the pickup hot outputs and the switch, then run the switch output to the output jack.

thanks you two for posting replies.....i however do not know what the posts on the 5-way do. as you can see i'm a newb. could you break down the function of each post on the back if you have time.....my posts are all in a line too, ive seen some that are staggered.

When i wanted to wire up my 3-way switch i did a simple google search and BAM i found what i needed.
