Bonfire Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I'm going to buy an Ibanez Edge but i have to know if I don't need to modify my guitar. I think the problem should be the long of trem route. Answer quickly please. Thanks Quote
ibanez_crazy Posted November 9, 2005 Report Posted November 9, 2005 I dont believe so. The trem cavity has to be modified to acomidate the tad longer trem but not by much. Just squaring the corners. I think the trem posts have to be changed as well Quote
Bonfire Posted November 9, 2005 Author Report Posted November 9, 2005 (edited) I though so I was going to buy one in ebay but I don't want to modify my guitar nowadays. I'm trying to do the trem cavity by CAD in order to a "luthier" (guitar builder, sorry my english) make me this modification. Does anybody have the distance between the centre of the posts an the maximum long of the cavity?? Thanks PD: And what posts are not compatible? The female ones or the males? PD2: I joined a day after you xDDD Edited November 9, 2005 by Bonfire Quote
ibanez_crazy Posted November 10, 2005 Report Posted November 10, 2005 There is a pinned topic on trem routings should have the info you need. The posts are different sizes and thread count so neither are compatible. Plus the edge trem has a botom in the insert for the adjustable stops on the posts, I dont think either the trs or trs 2 has the same set up Quote
