Stiffy Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 What is the safest and easiest way to remove a volume knob off a hamer sunburst arch top? Quote
Setch Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 I find a rag wrapped around the base, then pulled up and bunched around the knob usually provides enough purchase to remove the knob. Any attempt to use a lever under the knob will usually damage the knob, or far worse, the guitar top. Quote
Guitarfrenzy Posted November 29, 2005 Report Posted November 29, 2005 Although I don't own one, the Knob & Bushing Puller from Stew Mac should do the job perfect. Just be careful like Setch said to not hurt the guitars finish. Quote
AnthemBassMan Posted November 30, 2005 Report Posted November 30, 2005 I just use the rag trick like Setch says. It works well enough to not have to buy a special tool to do the same thing. L8R, Matt D. Quote

I wrapped a hankey around the bottom and pulled up. Quote
