Hughes
well, long story short, i love mockingbirds. so i went out and bought a bronze series and i am using it as a template. im most likely even putting on a black wraparound bridge and the same electronic configuration (different pups though). i also am making the neck joint the same. i think the only difference is the headstock (3x3), and the woods (quilt maple, mahogany, ebony, birdseye maple). is it weird that im pretty much basing my custom on a cheapy import? is there anything i can do that will change it a little more? TenderSurrender
I wouldnt say its weird, i mean afterall your not making it to the same standards as the bronze series (theoretically ) Plus you should base it on what YOU want, if you like it, then go for it!! ~~ TS ~~
Nitefly SA
really the only difference between super dooper mockingbird platinums and crappy bronze imports is what they are made of, you are just making a high end version, nothing wrong with that.
