theitalianrob
I have a custom bass body and i need to widen the pickup hole to fit humbuckers. I was wondering if a single speed dremel would work for this because im trying to save some $ scince ive already spent alot on the parts for the bass. Or if there is any other inexpensive tool i could use please tell me. my budget is about 25-40 bucks.
Gorecki
That's likely a lot of wood for a little dremel but the only other lesser expensive option that comes to mind would be chisels and if you don't have any experience with them could possibly be a complete mess. With patience and care you should be able to get it done.
thegarehanman
You can get a craftsman 1.25hp, 1/4" collet router for the price of a dremel. I've used them before and they're pretty sturdy. EDIT: Nevermind, I didn't see your price range. A craftsman router will run you about $60. unclej
why not try a couple of local pawn shops. you can usually find a decent deal on used routers, sanders, etc. if you consider that you'll usually find used tools at about half of the price of a new one you should be right in your budget range. if you find one have them let you plug it in and turn it on. if it sounds good..no popping or rattling sounds..it's probably good.
