francelj
Eko is very old italian brand name. They are/were specialized in guitars, basses, effects. Very good quality (especialy older instruments). Real wood (good), dimarzio pups,....I had a few year ago Eko SG copy and it was way better than any Epiphone....low action, fantastic necks, dimarzios, good hardware, .... Strange Fruit
its www.brandoniguitars.co.uk its an english webpage (obviously) and they are selling the bodies at £25(!) and Strat necks from £35. Hell bass necks are £80! Matt

lovekraft
Isn't the Roadstar an Ibanez strat copy? I've never heard of an Eko with that name, but the Ibanez, if memory serves, was the predecessor to the RG series.
arrowheadguitars
the body shape is a stunted strat shape without any of the contours and if the one I have is anything to go by, finished very basically and heavily - there is a LOT of paint on it. still, not very expensive so you don't have to waste a lot of money for something to experiment on Paul
Strange Fruit
thanx people thanx paul, but it says these are unfinished. im gonna get one either tommorrow or on friday, so ill post pics and the like. now, i gotta get me a nice set of pickups. Would a squier set for the strat work well? Matt
Alchool
Mmmm being italian myself maybe I can say something on eko... All Eko's guitars I saw were made of plywood. Actually, a friend told me that in the seventyes they made better guitars... I don't know if there are any high-end Ekos...
