Noddy13 Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Sorry if this has been listed before, i tried serching but nothing really answered my question I've got a humbucker a 3way switch and a volume pot. I've heard that u can get a humbucker so that just the just the front half is on or just the back half and then both, soz don't know the technical talk... so i was hoping for this kind of set up, any ideas on how i would do this, and a wiring diagram would be great if any1 has one at all. Cheers in advanced! Noddy Quote
Nitefly SA Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 what brand of pickup is it and is a single wire ofour wire? Quote
mikhailgtrski Posted March 22, 2006 Report Posted March 22, 2006 Yes, if your pickup has 4-conductor wiring and you have a SPDT on-off-on switch (aka single-pole, double-throw, center off). Here's a schematic: dual-split humbucker (Note that the shield wire (bare - if you have one) also connects to ground, and the color codes are based on Seymour Duncan - others may vary.) Seymour Duncan has an extensive library of wiring diagrams here (although they don't have the exact one you described): SD schematics Mike Quote
