westhemann Posted September 6, 2003 Report Share Posted September 6, 2003 well you only have room for about 3 pickups and then they just get in my way.what i go for is to make a guitar that hangs perfectly,is light,and is easier to play,all while having great tone.i am not much for strange shapes i am more about ergonomics. syxxstring Posted September 8, 2003 Report Share Posted September 8, 2003 ask steve morse about the pickups lol as far as shape goes i think of classic shapes only a little changed. mostly for what i consider ergonomic. my current puzzle a lightweight les paul, neck through, 24 fret, w/ a piezo bridge and a back tummy route, switch in the prs position(sorta behind the bridge) using a rotary.
