Seeing some of the tools in that Godin video makes me drool.

I'll have to try out something akin to their method for clamping a scarf joint, it seems like it would work better than what I'm doing and I wouldn't have to worry about having the headstock piece the same thickness as the neck.

Man, that Godin video is just not fair... they make a guitar look SO easy to build and so quick when the rest of us put HOURS upon HOURS into each tedious step and have to be SO accurate as to not screw anything up. Where as they just clamp it in and off the machine goes...

I mean, I'm not saying that'd be a fun way to make your instruments... but I'm still jealous lol

Neither the slotting or the fret edge sanding was CNC's in the Godin vids, was it? Looked like a straight-up set of ganged sawblades and a mecahnized sander, but that don't mean CNC...
