PK55
Alright here's my dumb question, what does the Vine Inlay actually represent or mean? I read somewhere in an article that it's symbolic of a musicians journey or growth in his craft of guitar playing...any other poss meanings??? Thanks... PK55
BLING BLING ...its just to pimp up your guitar haha...good one...pop my collar and my guitar strap!
Inisheer
Maybe not to "pimp up" the guitar, but to make it beautiful, cuz it's so purdy. Basically the same though, I guess. Just looks better than simple dots IMO.
Mattia
Traditional acoustic guitar vines follow the 'tree of life' motif, and are named as such. Ibanez-types...just for the pretty. Ones with naked laydees (like mine), well, y'know.
cSuttle
What does the vine of life mean? It means you couldn't think of anything more creative to inlay. Edited May 29, 2006 by cSuttle
Clavin
Cliff nailed it... It's really a victorian era thing. Most instruments and expensive objects were decorated with floral motifs, be it inlay, paint, etc.. Sadly it's all most people expect to see on a guitar.
