WezV
Not a bad idea for the future, at the moment i have a guitarshop willing to take as many guitars as i can build (which isnt many yet with the day job). They are going music live so i will probably be there with them this year, although my bloody brother decided to get married on the friday so i have to miss the first day

Maurits
Robbie, I see you're using Delano pickups, have you had any experience with using these passive in a fretless. I was wondering since I'm thinking of using them on a fretless build I've got going on right now. Thanks a bunch, Maurits.
RIM Basses
Yeah for sure,I used an SBC6 HE/S delano Pickup on marty's marseer fretless 6.the pickup is designed for fretless in mind and sounds great,so much detail.Get yourself one you wont be disapointed. Cheers, Robbie.

DanielM
yeah that top is fab. and indeed it is a very nice design. by the way would you recommend those Delano pickups over Fender Custom Shop 60's Jazz pickups?
RIM Basses
Hi All, Dan I dont know much about the fender pickups but the Delanos are great and I would go for them, they have so much detail and power with a modern twist on the sound.Good Luck! Well ive buffed out the finish today and the bass looks sweet! also ive pre-wired the Aguilar OBP-3 pre for fitting this week.I should have this ready for Garry next week, lets hope he likes it. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...09082006970.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...09082006967.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...09082006966.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...08082006959.jpg More next week! Maurits
I wouldn't worry about Garry not liking this thing, I don't see how he couldn't really.

But meeting you there wouldn't make much of a change But it would be nice to meet Mr Wez, and actually try some of robbies basses rather then just be shown them. It's as if he doesn't trust me Matty p.s. did you sort ou the Markers thing? i haven't had a chance to check the pics yet! RIM Basses
Hi matty, We are going to put the dots in the standard places now, shouldnt be a problem. Cheers, Robbie.
Maiden69
I love the top grain orientation... I'm not a fan of this kinda shaped basses. But great work, nice selection of the wood. I would had inlayed the dots prior to fretting, but you should have no problem dressing them to the fretboard.
RIM Basses
Hi All, Well the dots are in and the wiring is done, got a few minor jobs to do and then we should get some sound out of this bass next week. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...12082006983.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...12082006981.jpg http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y131/otis...12082006984.jpg Cheers, Robbie. This bass looks really great. Dare I ask for soundclips? You're not going to keep this thing for another week saying it isn't done yet, must be a great player by the looks of it.
