Guitarfrenzy Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Maybe you might be interested in this Swirl tutorial that someone has already posted before.. BORAX SWIRL If not check out Guitar ReRanch'ssite if your wanting to use aerosol spray paint. They might have some of these colors. I'm sure Brian can help you if neither of these suggestions work for you. Quote
Brian Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 Which of the three are you interested in? I can tell you right off the bat the Green will kill you and you end up having a fit trying to clear over it (beacuse most clears will change the color to a darker one) if your talking areosols. I ended up using Roman Brand from House of Kolor and even that get's difficult if your around any humidity problems. Yellow is a different story since there are plenty out there that are close and the originals were not what you think if you have ever actually seen a Dersert Yellow while it is brite I doubt they are flourescent. I'm not sure about the Hot Pinks. Quote
LGM Guitars Posted September 26, 2003 Report Posted September 26, 2003 House of Kolor is what Ibanez uses. The green pink and yellow all spray fine, but you have to clear with automotive poly urethane. The green is the easiest of the 3 colors to spray. There is a company called Killer Kolors that make an aerosol that is very close to the right colors. However, pretty much any neon color needs to be clear coated to make it nice and glossy and have any protection. They all fade, but pink fades the worst just so ya know Quote
