SRV_ROCKS Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 Hi everyone, I'm looking to make a les paul jr and i want to know if that there is a difference in the body size from a standard les paul. I'm pretty much a noob about building guitars so i thought i'd start small with something without a carved top or binding or anything to make it harder for me. Quote
redwhiteandthemaple Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 The LesPaul Jr.'s are slightly smaller and yes, it is flat. But they tend to have set-necks which might make it a little trickier than bolt-on necks where you can make the neck and body seperately. Or you could just make the LesPaul Jr. a bolt-on neck, which I believe is what Epiphone does with their LesPaul Jr.'s. Quote
Setch Posted December 10, 2006 Report Posted December 10, 2006 The bodies are the same size, but juniors are thinner, since they have no maple top. The neck joint is like a bolt on - the full width of the fingerboard. Quote
SRV_ROCKS Posted December 10, 2006 Author Report Posted December 10, 2006 Thanks for all the help guys. Quote
