Squire Strat Custom

Well this is my first atempt at re finishing a guitar. as i am a glasgow scotland guy i wanted a guitar with a st andrews flag plate all in blue after lookin at some nice blue strats etc an sum companies that'll do custom plates i thought hhmm i could pull this off my-self.

Here is the product

It Was Red

With a belt and detail sander it was sonded but as i relised acrylic paint doesnt stick weel on wood

as u can see i tryied a light blue this pic was after i sanded most of it off again to start fresh

This was the new color its a celulose pearescent finish paint and it ran du to my inexperiance of sparying

Next day sanded an sprayed better his time after a few tips from a friend now left to cure/harden over night

un laquered pearl shine

laquered just needin t-cut

eventually t-cut an laquered another 3 times to get the high shine finish
