Briscriggs Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 i have a bunch of shells that a friend gave me thinking that i might be able to turn them into inlay blanks any one know how i might do this? Idid some dots myself, using differant size diamond drills, slow proscess though. I also did my gibson block inlay from raw shells, but it just does'nt worth the time and effort, and all the dust that's involved to procecce it your self. Their's tons of great deals on offshore shell aready thicknessed and sized. that's what I'll do next time. But if you do it flaten them first on the side of a grinding wheel,(be careful.)Then lock the blank onto a backerboard somehow and use the differant inside diameter diamond drills. aidlook Posted February 22, 2007 Report Posted February 22, 2007 Hint: if there are little red dots under a word after you've written it...it's misspelled. Quote
