eddiewarlock
PRS copy: Mahogany back, figurted Saman top, 3 piece mahogany neck with cedar accents, i haven't decided on the fretboard yet,m it will definitely have figured maple binding, but i can't find the PRS bird inlays ( and i don't want to cut them either) or maybe i'll buy a dragon inlayed fretboard, it will have gold hardware Ibanez Joe Satriani copy, I'm building this one for a friend, it's all mahogany with a rosewood fretboard, neck thru body. Usually strat shaped guitars do nothing for me, but i'll have a hard time letting this one go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/edd.../IMAG0004-4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/edd.../IMAG0005-3.jpg Jackson Kelly body. I'm using a Harper guitar neck it's a shame i used Ceiba wood for the body, it's way too soft for any guitar use, as comparison, Mahogany rates at 830, Purpleheart rates at 1860, Limba at 500, Spanish cedar, 600 ; but Ceiba wood only 260 on the Janka scale...the stringers were ade with a sharpie haha http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/edd.../IMAG0001-5.jpg And this is one of the first guitars i built, i replaced the whole fretboard and the binding now i'm using a rosewood fretboard and 2 mm binding, and yes the stringers are real in this one! hehehe it's a Hybrid of an ESP stephen carpenter, Jackson Soloist and BC Rich Assassin http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/edd.../IMAG0006-3.jpg

Hector
are you using a neck angle on that prs copy? or the bridge doesn't require the neck to be angled
eddiewarlock
are you using a neck angle on that prs copy? or the bridge doesn't require the neck to be angled No angle, it's a hardtail bridge so it doesn't need an angle. This is my first set neck guitar, and my last!! Set neck guitars, as well as bolt ons are a pain in the a** to build, I'll stick to neck thru body guitars! IMHO they are waaaaay much easier to build. eddiewarlock
Another one, the guiitarist of my band effed his guitar up, besides it was made of basswood, so i got some spanish cedar, and i added some quebracho stringers, so here it is Carved top RG shape http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v313/eddiewarlock/rg2.jpg
