Hi guys, I want to start my own project, I dont want to cut the wood and paint the guitar. I just want to build my own.

My question is: Do 7 strings neck can be put on every body, or i absolutly need a body made for 7 strings??

And what is a neck pocket?

Yes, you can use a 7-string neck on a 6-string body, although you will need to widen the neck pocket a small amount and route the pickups cavities accordingly to your pickup choice.

The neck pocket is the cavity on the body where the neck sets into.

Do you want to build a guitar with a bolt-on neck, a set neck (like a bolt-on but glued in), or a neck-through (the neck goes all the way through the length of the body)?

If I understood your post correctly, you want to buy a neck and a body and assemble the guitar?

yeah exactly, i want to buy the electronics, the body and the neck. I'm a starter so, i want to start easily!!

I dunno exaxctly which neck i want, I know that neck through neck is expensive. I'll probally go in the cheapest way for my first time.
