black_labb Posted November 15, 2007 Report Share Posted November 15, 2007 looks great, upper horn looks a bit close to the neck, can your thumb fit through the gap comfortably? was it hard to sand once the wings were glued on, or is it just the angle making it look so close. i really like the look of it, what pup coniguration will you be putting in there? g1_ Posted November 19, 2007 Author Report Share Posted November 19, 2007 The upper horn is quite close to the neck...but the horn doesn't get in the way all that much, especially seeing as my thumb stays mainly at the back of the neck. It was a bit of a pain to sand there. I'm going for the p-bass sound: EMG 35P4 Update: - inlayed - fretted - pup installed Just need to do a few last jobs, fix up some mistakes and then I'm on to sanding and finishing... Looks like it would be very comfortable to play, and yet is very striking aesthetically. What finish did you use, and what was your finishing schedule?
