Bridge Saddles

What are the strings supposed to rest in on a bridge like the one above?? There are no grooves on the saddles for the strings to rest in. :D

Not sure what the deal is on that? Are the saddles maybe installed upside down and the hight adjustment screws in wrong, hiding the string guide slots? Otherwise it looks like it was machined wrong?? Good luck!! Hope someone else can clear it up for you.

Nope...that's a vintage-style stamped Strat saddle baby! The only saddle with more mojo are those brass barrels for the Tele.

Don't ask me how many 0.009 E-strings I break on those height adjustment screws when I get all jiggy wit it....

Yeah, those saddles don't and aren't supposed to have grooves for the strings. The strings are held in place (sort of) by friction.
