MikeB
hey guys, i was wondering if anyone had any ideas on how to fix the tuning instability on a Gibson style 3-a-side headstock design, particularly on the 3rd string. i think it may be the "v" angle it goes in at, which causes binding at the nut. does anyone have any suggestions which may fix this, i have thought a string retainer type thing, to give a straight (er) string pull, but i am unsure. thanx Mike

Jem7RB UK
I noticed this on my Les Paul, and it kind of cured itself once i fitted schaller tuners,It really is as stable as you can get without it being locked HTH Rob

Devon Headen
There's also a very tiny change graphit in the nut will fix your problem. Just rub some #2 pencil in there.
