Hello Forum,

I recently purchased a used Gibson Epiphone short scale Bass Electric.

When tuning, I noticed that one of the knurled bushings that anchors the bridge was pulling out of its mounting hole.

What would be the best way to secure the bushing in the hole?

Thank you. :D

I'd glue toothpicks in there. Line the walls with a few. They're soft enough so that you'll still be able push the bushing back in, but the glue will make them hard enough to provide resistance to the bushing from lifting. But you'll still be able to pull the bushing if ever need be.

If you do anything with the post bushings, double check that the earth is still attached after the fiddling.

T/M - the earth is still attached. The fiddling continues late into the night.

thanks. :D
