Buffing Out Poly

The side of the can says the poly is fully cured in 2 weeks. What's the real scoop? I'm wanting to wetsand and buff out some poly, but I'm not 100% how long to wait.

The Plasticote poly i've used on the zeta neck is good to scuff within a few days before reapplying coats. I'd say it was a good idea to leave it a couple of weeks in a warm place, if not a month to make sure. I'm going to leave the neck in the airing cupboard for a week after it's dried from the last coat (just gone on).

I guess it will also vary between brands....Plasticote is a rattle poly but it dries hella quickly!

Scratch N Sniff test.

If you can dent the finish with your fingernail, it's not done.

If you can still smell the solvents coming off, it's not done.
