canuckguitarist
Ok, so I've figured out most of the beginning solo to 'All Along the Watchtower', the Jimi Hendrix one, but I'm stuck at a part...1:04-1:08. The best I can come up with... |----------5-----5-----------5---------------------------------| |-------5----------8-5----5---8-5------------------------------| |---7b-------7b--------7----------8-7-5----7b--5~~~------------| |-------------------------------------------7------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------------------------------| It doesn't sound right to me....what have I got wrong? Otter
Exactly what bit are you stuck on? Cant realy work out what bit it is your tryin to work out. The songs in c#m tuned town a semi tone to cm, so i think you maye have the key wrong to start with. I've not got the time to tab out the whole thing, ive looked at a few sites and there all pritty bad or incomplete, to copy and paste to here. Ive been touring round the country in a Jimi Hendrix tribute band for the last couple of years, so if you explain a bit further ill help you out. p.s I don't come on to often, so sorry if I don't get back to you immediately. jbkim
Have you tried using a "slow down" tool like the AmazingSlowDowner? Yeah, learning note for note has it's place but it's good to develop your own voice.

Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
The slide bart was done using a Bic lighter. To get the right tone, you'll need to do this.
hardlyneeded
powertab with a really good rating: http://www.powertabs.net/pta.php?page=song,721 powertabs software, if you're not familiar with this you should be: http://www.power-tab.net/downloads.php
daveq
Powertab rules! I've been using it for quite a while. I wish the MIDI stuff would sound better though. I know it's not PowerTabs fault but I can't get a decent dist. guitar sound. The tab print outs are excellent - just as good or better than any mag.
