daveq Posted December 15, 2003 Report Share Posted December 15, 2003 I bought these thinking that they were an exact copy of what comes with a Schaller or OFR bridge: Trem Bushings They are actually smaller in diameter than what I am used to. I didn't notice that when ordering. Are there any drawbacks to using these? Will there be a noticable difference in reliability or sound quality? daveq Posted December 15, 2003 Author Report Share Posted December 15, 2003 Oh, I'm sorry - I forgot to mention that it's for a new installation. I put the original bushings into another body that I don't want to use right now. I bought the new bushings thinking that they were a direct replacement BUT I did not drill for the bushings yet (for once I didn't screw something up! - yet). I'll use them if you think they are good - I just wasn't sure if they were a cheap piece of crap or an improvement or what. I was really surprised to see that they were smaller- maybe this is intentional so that people could dowel older bushing holes and use these?
