CrazyManAndy
The bridge on my violin is beginning to bend down and back toward the tailpiece. I assume it's because of the pressure of the strings, though there have been a few incidents. Anyway, what would be the best way to flatten it back out (if that's even advisable)? psw
Time to buy a new bridge! My daughter plays violin and I once tried working on a cheap one but it only made things worse...I used to take them to a shop that knows what they are doing to get them set up because they seem very un-guitar like in terms of action and there are other little things like the friction pegs that often need a little attention and a person who knows what they are doing have all kinds of obscure little tools for bridge shaping and fitting and stuff. foil1more
You might be able to fix it but I would definitely second psw.
Sami Ghouri
shaping a new bridge isn't really harder than fixing this one.... stewmac a new bridge i guess... that's what i did with my sister's violin. I also bought the kit but i still haven't got the heart to finish it off.... it's been almost 9 months now
