I got a Commadore acoustic guitar, needs to be re painted, no truss rod, steel reinforced neck, on the back it has 2 cracks about 10 inchs long, this was my grandmothers guitar that she got for free and never used it, my uncle played it a bit, then i inherited 2 years ago, then bought my electric, i was wondering, what can i do to fix the cracks? i aint going to repaint it because its a sunburst paint, it has chips all out of the front (paint chips) and i do not want to redo that paint job, those cracks are just seeming to get bigger every month, especially when the humidty goes up, then drops suddenly, other then that its a great guitar, any thoughts?

IF it's a crack in the top wood itself you could try glueing a flat patch from behind to stop or help brace it, that way it will still have the cool relic look on the outside :D since your not going to refinish it.

ts in the actual wood itself, i was told just regular white glue and lots of it will dry up clear and rock hard, i havent tried it yet though, will that work?
