Guitar Of The Month For May

The Project Guitar.com "Guitar of the Month" contest is a showcase for all the members, so show us your axe in this thread!

This contest is open to any and all members that enter and will be continued each month for a place showing your creation on the homepage!

The winner(s) of course will have his/her guitar featured on the homepage of Project Guitar.com and if you have a website the picture will link directly to it if you so choose (even commercial site's).

If your a forum member you will also be upgraded to a Featured member which allows you to see the Advanced Chat section and download area.

So show us your creation in this thread! You've got till sometime around the 22nd or 23rd of April then this thread gets locked and the voting starts!

Any Post that is not an entry will be deleted, feel free to start a new thread to discuss any guitar entered this month

There may be more then one poll to determine winners in different catagorys at the end of this contest!

Please post a maximum of your 4 best pictures per guitar entered

Make sure Your Guitar has a Name or Nick Name as well otherwise one will be given to it :D

Side note, if you are unable to post a picture you can e-mail one to Brian and it will be posted for you, or ask forum members how to post pictures, they are very helpful.

I ruined the original board when trying to oil finish it as black gunk game out from under the frets & stained the sapwood padauk, so had to rip it off & replace

Hi,

I call this the "fire ball"

Body - mahogany body with carved flamed maple top

Neck - wenge with oil finish

Fretboard - Ebony with custom "fire ball" 12th fret inlay

Hardware - Gotoh

Pickups - PB custom wound hummies. Vintage missmatch winding in the neck and hot wound for bridge

Aurum

a.k.a. the Real Gold Top LP (hence the name, “gold” in latin)

Neck: 2-piece mahogany, matte PU finish

Fretboard: ebony, 24.75” scale, 12” radius, 22 medium jumbo frets, vine/floral inlay (square silver stock, MOP, Baltic amber, gold leaf)

Headstock: ebony, floral inlay, etched truss-rod cover, Planet Waves auto-trim locking tuners, Earvana saddle

Body: single piece mahogany, maple top, tummy cut and armrest, 23k gold leaf top, multiple bindings, sculpted heel, PU finish

Bridge & Tailpiece: TonePros Tune-o-matic

Pickups: Bare Knuckle Pickups – The Mule calibrated set

Electronics: N-tune chromatic tuner on toggle switch plate (1st push/pull tone pot activates tuner and mutes the output), phase switch (2nd push/pull tone pot)

Fretboard: Ebony, 25.5" scale, 10-16" radius, 24 jumbo frets, butterfly inlay (paua, black and white MOP)

Body: 1pc mahogany, 1pc carved maple top. solidbody, only small chamber under soundholes

Bribge: Schaller GTM piezo

Pickups: EMG 81/85

Electronics: 1 master volume, 1 master tone, 3-way pickup switch, LR baggs mixer (magnetic/piezo switch, mix pot)
