Brian
Welcome to the forum mfo Lacquer will take longer to dry then some other paints but yes you can use other clears to do the job (there is no rule it has to be lacquer). Guest Litchfield Custom Gutars
I like deft and duplicolor. Duplicolor is prolly the more durable
mfo
cool... i can save time, and money scouting around for lacquer... hehehe... litchfield, i don't have that many choices... i've only seen a couple of brands... in singapore i've seen Ace Hardware ones, Nippon ones... to get stuff like those i need to find some small dodgy shops on the corner of this island, or country... hahah... oh well... don't need good lacquer anyhow, i only scalloped a Yamaha eg112... westhemann
is the old finish still on the back of the neck?because you want a paint which will not cause a reaction with the old finish right?
