Refinishing a B.C rich ironbird

Recommended Posts

I recently got my hands on an early 90's b.c rich ironbird (rare I'm told as it has a reverse headstock) The finish has been absolutely hammered it is a Glossy black, I was wondering if anyone could advise what prep i need to do on the wood for a Matt black finish as all can find is preparing it for a gloss finish, any other usefull tips, words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Tom
