Lex Luthier
Here is some flamed maple I just resawed. I made the riser for the bandsaw myself, so I customized the cutting height to 8.5" using a stanard 98" blade. Took me a few minutes to cut each board. mdw3332
Lex, Beautiful work. I glued up a couple of pieces of resawn crotch walnut earlier today. One of the best feelings I have had buldng guitars was when I went to do some rough layouts on the wood and I couldn't find the glue line to mark a center line. It is amazing when a plan comes together. Marty
Lex Luthier
These two pieces are from the same billet I got the top for this guitar out of. Not sure what I want to do with them though. They should be drop tops(1/4" thick) when finished. I have a cool version of a PRS body I still haven't really used yet. I think a Mahogany body, preferably 1-piece, with one of these as a top would be cool, don't know about finish though. I also have never done a Les Paul body shape either... Maybe what I'll use them for is a flat top Les Paul style guitar with a drop top, and my PRS-ish body. Both with Mahogany bodies, don't know about neck joints yet, or finish. Lex Luthier
Currently they're stickered, and will probably stay that way until I use them.
