Devon Headen
I know a guy who used to have 6 fingers and 6 toes on his hands and feet, respectively. His parents got them removed. I don't care how much I got picked on, I'd give a lot to have 6 fingers on each hand.
jbkim
What movie was that that had the pianist with extra fingers? Was it "Gattaca"?
Devon Headen
Whoa...I remember that one just a little bit...it was some really weird name, so that sounds about right. It's been awhile, and I wasn't paying very much attention at the time.
VanKirk
1.0mm Takemine any1 ever heard of "Dava Control"picks I had 2 and lost em and can't find em anywhere? I've seen them at the lair of satan - Guitar Center. They're available from Musician's Enemy too - I mean Musician's Friend. I fingerpick mostly but I'll use the Dava's too. I got the Metal tipped ones for x-mas and they're pretty nice. I like how you can vary the thickness depending on where you hold them. They also have a lot of grooves that keep them from turning in my fingers or flying outta my hand.
jbkim
Speaking of fingerpicks, anyone try the AlaskaPik? http://www.alaskapik.com/ I'd like to keep long nails for playing but it's not practical (I break them all the time.) I like how the AlaskaPik goes under the nail tips. I dislike how traditional fingerpicks feel.

Southpa
My first guitar pick was a plastic tag from a loaf of bread. I prefer thin gauge picks, best for strumming, and a heavier pick for fast flatpicking. I also use metal fingerpicks ala banjo style quite a lot when playing slide.
