matte finish help

I just bought a Epi LP goth. It has a matte finish. Can I used regular gloss finish to polish and clean it up or do I have to get something else? also, I put GHS fast fret on the back of the neck. Is that harmful to a painted neck?

you want to use finish to clean your guitar? and fast fret, as the name suggests, is meant to be used on the frets

well I thought that the fast part of it would help the neck. anyways it's more like the side of the neck where the neck and the fingerboard meet.

its meant for cleaning all the gunk off the strings, fretboard and frets :|

I thought fast fret was designed just to go on the strings to lube them. I think the idea is kinda to get the feel of elixer strings, ive tried it and dont like it.

As far as cleaner for your finish I would checke epiphones site to see if they give you and indication. The key is to use something extremly mild if your not sure.

if you ever apply fast fret and then wipe it off like you're meant to, then you;ll see how much it cleans

I use it on all my other guitars and i think it works great....even when you use it for stuff your not suppose to
