  3. I have nothing to offer for the UV method. As far as bleaching... Without a test scrap I would not attempt this.,.,Plus youd be exposing that beautiful wood to lots of moisture when you neutralize the bleach. peace jack

  12. Not sure if this helps or not...I use marine Spar varnish on some brass stuff i have outside...still hasnt turned green yet and its been maybe 5 yrs.
  13. Honestly...I dont see this working... Stains blend together easily. I think it would come out looking just muddy...Only one way to find out.,.,try it on a scrap...Try using "Search" maybe someone else has tried it....good luck
  14. My guess is you twisted the whole jack and broke one of the connections.,. Looks like the unshielded wire.,.,Clean ,flux, and resolder.

  16. Good question...Looked for the same part myself with no luck. I think I'm going to make one from a Bigsby pickup mounting plate and cut off what isnt needed.

I have 2 of Larrys necks.,,. the 1st one i got was nice,., fret work was decent plays great on my Strat.,.,the second one.,.,different story, has a few dings and chips here and there.,.,main problem is the holes drilled for tuners are off.,.,didnt look too bad in the pics he provides but when I went to put the tuners on it really showed how far they were off.   18. I wouldnt have guessed a curling iron got to 300 but....my daughter says cheap ones get to about 350 and a professional model gets to 450...
