  1. I've had that experience as well. When i went to battle of the bands back in highschool, the first band played, and i was thinking "a little bass, and a lil less mid wouldn't hurt the guitarist..." He was probably used to playing in an enclosed room or something, and didn't set his amp up for stage, because the sound was that kind of sound that just makes your ears pop >.o kinda like when you turn on a TV and it makes that high pitched sound.

*doesn't know exactly what you said* I'm guessing you said that he did what i said. Well i have no clue what to do then >.o sorry. I mean, i do have some ideas of what to do, but i'm not gonna mention them, cuz i have no clue now lol. *shrugs* maybe the batch at Daddy's are a group of super pods that are built spacificly for being beat up by dumbass customers

    POD Pro

Interesting. That's the first time i've ever heard about that happening o.O didja try just opening it up and shooting a little canned oxygen around to close out any metal fragments that could be bridging connections to switches and buttons which would cause that to happen? I do that to a lot of electronic equipment i buy, and that keeps it workin for a while ^.^ I will admit that i found a lot of crap in my POD though.
  4. I mostly do all my posts and reads from the college dorms. Its not really my home, and its not really school though, because this is my free time... even though i have 5 minutes till i should get my class

    POD Pro

[edit]... i just realized you said POD Pro, and not 2.0... >.< sorry, i have no idea... But i'll leave my input on the POD 2.0 for anyone else who reads this ^.^ I have one. I like it a lot for home recording, but i dislike it for live playing, and gigs. Though it does sound very killer though a bass amp There's a lot you can do with it, yet a little more i wish you could do with it. But all the stuff i wish i could do with it is on the POD XT, so if you wana spend the extra hundred or so getting that, that'd be cool. The thing is very durable. I've never dropped it, but i've seen others in the music stores trying it out, and trying to set it on top of an amp, and having it fall about 5 or 6 feet to a hard carpet floor. Still worked just fine The conoured and rounded surfacing make it pretty shock resistant. It also makes it look like a butt, but that's besides the point. I'm not sure if anyone actually uses all 32 channels of saved settings, but i do use atleast 4. I have 2 dirty tones set into it, and 2 clean tones. All in all, i love this thing ^.^
  6. Hi! Alrighty, i have my custom fretless neck, and there's parts on the back of it where the glaze just doesn't wana dry on. I've tried sanding that spot down, but i don't want to alter the neck shape, because its perfect. Is there something i can put over it to get the glaze to stick? (I'm basicly asking this question for Ken; the guy who's building it for me) Thanks a lot to all who answer ^.^
  7. Things i've seen others experience 1. Try to keep your instrument atleast two guitars lengths away from any other band member when jumping around and all that stuff. You could hurt someone, or more importantly, you could hurt your guitar o.O 2. If you write a song that's an instant classic, when playing it on stage, DON'T do adlibs or improvisations >.< It'll just confuse everyone and make them complain later. 3. Don't do what Rob Trujillo does on stage 4. Don't chew gum on stage if you're the singer (its happened in one of the bands i was in) That's all i can think of right now ^.^
  8. Well i put em in the GRX20, and wow! i never thought i could get this guitar to sound that good! Holy crap, the distortion is amazingly smooth on the blended channel, and the 81 kicks all ass for lead through the POD! Unfortunately, my POD's having a fun time doing this thing where it likes to go "Well none of the knobs were touched, but i'll flash the 'edited' sign anyway, and turn up the echo all the way!" So that sucks >.o so in the middle of playing, it'll go from clean to "i'm in a parking garage" sounding, lol. The 85 doesn't work by itself in the neck position on the switch, but that's okay. I can get that working later ^.^ I just have to solder all the joints again, and it should work out fine. I'm pretty sure i just kinda missed soldering pin 2 to pin 1. But yeah, the clean tone sounds sooooooooooooooooooooooooo clear on both pickups! I can hear EVERY note o.O i've never experienced that in a guitar! Playing Kryptonite has never been more fun ^.^ And the pinch harmonics work best on one pickup at a time lol. i guess if i have em both on, it'll read both sides of the string, and creat a distorted pick/pinch harmonic sound. but that's okay! I'm happy
  9. Alright cool ^.^ If i get my camera working again, i'll keep updates... Actually i think everyone's seen the scalloping process, haven't they >.o m'kay nevermind ^.^ i'll post pics when i'm done lol.
  10. go wes lol Actually, Kirk wrote the original riffs for Enter Sandman, and we alllllllll know how popularly annoying that one got >.< Nonetheless, it was a good riff. If you look in the credits to a lot of the songs, Kirk actually was involved in the writing of many of them. Not just the solos. I think I know too much about this band >.< its unhealthy. annnnnnnnnnnyway, sorry about the add to the hyjak. I vote for the ouija JEM now
  11. well i guess i play weird or something, cuz mine do >.o The frets are quite small, so that could be it. Either that or i'm just looking for an excuse to scallop a neck
  12. Well i think i play "bass" pretty well. I've been working on trying to do faster runs around the neck, and i was wondering if it would help. Medium frets, and a rosewood fingerboard are kinda making me mad >.o My girlfriend likes to duel with me sometimes on guitar, so i end up doing tapping, or really fast slap, or just switching off to a guitar in order to keep up with her. And the vibrato does sound like a nice touch Alright, i'm gonna do it. *goes and gets a file, some sandpaper, and guitar honey*
  13. Hmmmmmmmm Just kinda popped into my head. It would be an interesting feel. This is basicly my **** around piece of poo bass that i'm experimenting on. Would it be useful to do it on a bass?
  14. I'd go with a 7 string universe style Jem with the mummy graphic on it Sooooooo ya, jem shaped, and probably sounding if she likes that sound more, and the KH graphic.
  15. Hmmmmm they raised the RG350DX price. I got mine for...350 lol. Interesting that the number matches the price Anyway, its 4hundred something now. Not worth it with those pickups in it imo. I mean, MINE would be worth around 500 new with the pickup array i have in it right now but yeah, that one right there is kind of a rip >.o
  16. m'kay, i gotta ask. What's the SS stand for?
  17. Weird. My P/J set (made in 2000) had one wire coming from each one. It just had a mesh, and a hot wire on it. Sorry, i can't help you with the blend knob. I really only know how to 2v, 1t.
  18. so what about NH? will they be around NH? Cuz if they're gonna be here, i'm gonna take up in that ultra fun activity mentioned in the thread involving a bat
  19. you can probably make an adjustment to your guitar to get the action at the right height

  21. I'm just plain scared of ebay >.o I donno why though. I just can't seem to bring myself to go shopping there. But i want an OFR soooo bad!
  22. I was told to take some superglue, and put it under the lifted frets. Then take two pieces of scrap wood, and put them on either side of the neck *fretted, and back* and then clamp them overnight with a c-clamp. Annnnnnnnnd ur supposed to do 2 at a time like this.
