    well i hate fender more than anything, and jackson is my favorite brand. they have only put out 2 new jackson models since the buyout. the js30 series and the new RR24. the js series is the cheapest of the jacksons, but by far the best cheap guitar you can get. i have not played the new rhoads RR24 though. and the custom shop is still the same, so that doesnt change much.

    well i dont think you guys are getting it. i diddnt try to make a cool looking paint job. i was just refinishing it and it had been left outside so the wood is a bit uneven, so when i sanded, it sanded unevenly. i diddnt do this purposely, i just thought it looked cool in the process. its already primered up now. but once again, i wasnt trying to do a swirl, i was just using swirl as a reference

    actually thats what it is. its sanded down thru different level of paint. i figured most wouldnt like it.

    you could also ask huntindoug. he is always offering to cut custom inlays and mirrors when people dont even ask him. so you could ask him and im sure he would be happy to cut them for you.

    ya i forgot to mention that. the kl headstocks have a really close fit. your SUPPOSED to use mini tuners for this headstock. but it works, so o well

    so why the heck did you glue a piece of plywood to it?

    yeah I was wondering about that, same with some of the stains on the other stuff.. im curious though if I rub it could I throw off the level surface and make a low spot? Maybe I'm over analyzing.. and it all started just trying to find a decent bandsaw, and I couldn't let it all go... naw no way. thats hardened steel your talking about. there isnt very much you could do to damage it. rub away.

    yes that is compared to the 81/85 combo. ive never used the 81/81 or ther 81/60. but it seems like the guitarheads neck pickup is just like the 60. great mids and low end, great for rythm. yes you can get harmonics very easily with them. but i dont know how consistant these are. i have only used one set. i pulled these out of my v to put on this guitar.

    they sound better than the emgs ive tried. ive tried emgs in a jackson dk and an esp viper. i think they have a much crisper sound and a ton of mids wich is what i like. you definitly need a neck pickup tho because the bridge doesnt have very good cleans just like emgs. but i have never tried guitarheads in a set or neck thru guitar. i think they will sound better. i dont think i will ever use emgs again.

    good stuff. i like delta and jet. make sure you wipe down the rust on that jointer with some wd 40 and some steel wool before you use it.

    yes it will. the body template was made for a 22 fret 24.75" scale length neck and thats what the neck will be. i have measured it out where the neck will sit, and it works. but ya i dont really like doing it this way though.

    they are active pickups from guitarheads. 1/3 the price of emgs and are the best sounding metal pickups i have ever heard. dead quiet without sheilding. i think i will go with gold or black hardware instead. i cant choose between those.

    yes you should. you should get it as close to the line as you can, and after the finish is dry scrape the binding clean with a razor.

    im pretty sure you can. i dont see why sanding sealer and epoxy would react with each other. but if your really unsure try it on a piece of scrap wood. but i am sure it will be fine

    pretty much 90 percent of fenders are bolt ons. cant stand fender.

    you mean the ring on the selector switch? you just unscrew the nut to the switch and take it off.
