    Yesterday when radiusing my figer board i noticed a hair line crack from the nut going down to about the second fret. Will this need to be repaired or will it be fine if i leave it alone.

    OK the two places i know of are lutiers supplies He is a great guy its where i got my wood from and he supplie pre slotted finger boards His prices are very reasonanble andit is likely to be cheaper if you go there. touch stone tone woods never bought from here looks pretty expensive.

    I used a jig saw to cut out the shape of my guitar it took about two hours, going through a 2 inch slab of maple is hard going and it left a lot of burn marks luckily it will be painted.

    Im building my neck at the moment and i am a little unsure on the easiest way from where i am. Would it be easier to radius the finger board before contouring the neck or to contour the neck then radius the finger board. And does any body got any measurements for 5mm dot markers which lay between the A and E string Thanks

    If you want a specific body go into your local guitar shop and ask to trace it. they could be complete idiots or be nice. Well thats what i did
