    I know your looking for something around $1200.00 dollars, so mine is just a thought.Most of the tube amps they are putting out today are not the quailty of the ones from the early days.Tubes are not made as well, and so forth.If you could manage twenty five or three thousand,I have a guy that can build you whatever you want ,old school style.Not only would you get what you want,but it will make you play better.For the money they are under priced,thats how good they are.Anyway here is a link to his site. http://www.siegmundguitars.com/ Good luck on your journey,hope you find what you are looking for. Just had another thought.....we have gone back to the future.....your not upgrading ,your down grading back to tube amps...got us a war and black sunday all over again....just like the fiftys.Nothing like the good old days.LOL

    This thread is a great learning tool,if nothing else.This generation is all about the hype,just talk the talk ,you don't have to walk the walk.NOW DON'T JUMP ON ME TO FAST,NOT EVERY YOUNG PERSON IS THAT WAY,just most.At some time,this country got to where you can say anything ,and don't have to back it up.And god forbid if someone calls you a lier,cause all the no nothings will back them up.Everyone wants to be the boss,and most of the bosses I have had in the last fourteen years,could not do the job they are boss of ,if their life depended on it.I guess it comes down to people have no respect for themselfs.People that handle money can not count change for god sake.This is the I am entidled generation,look at me,Oh and to the ones that have bought a guitar from him,I bet thier friends tell them it is the best thing they have ever heard or seen.JMO

    A good friend of mind ,leaves his best stuff at my house.He is a lefty ,so no fear I will use them...but I have threatened to sell them on Ebay.I have three of his guitars ,now that's trust.

    Wow, comming from you that's cool.Thanks for the kind words....Different is not that pleaseing in the guitar world.Thanks for looking at my work,yours has inspired me to add layers to my next one.When they're shaped ,it makes a big difference.

    You know that a few well known guitars went thru this kind of process,and now their guitars are being cloned at $25,000.00 plus a pop.Just a few are EVH'S ,Jimmy H.,SRV,etc. to name a few.They don't care how it looks ...but how it plays.

    So your just trying to stay out of jail!! Not sure about guitar safe,but they make a gun safe that should work...How many guitars are you talking.A good size gun safe runs around $1000.00 US.It would hold about four or five guitars.I've seen some guitars that have been victums of women rage.Had their necks snaped off.

    +1 Same here , I have all mine hanging on the wall.....have house alarm system and insured.Most of them could not be replaced anyway,tho...you know how it is.

    Mick,I just went and listened to Alan Vega's stuff.I have to say I like yours better.Your tone and pause are much finer to me.It's not really my kind of music....but I can get into yours,and have no problem lisening to it.I am going to go out on a limb and say you probably like the movie Crash.For some reason I think it is a really cool movie.If you have not seen it ,you should.

    Hey, Mick if you like rockabilly check out Deke Dickerson.....he has alot of you tube videos and puts on shows,old school style.Really retro stuff,but very cool.

    Really cool ,you got alot of things going on.I would put your stuff to rockabilly vibes.I have to say my first thought was ,acid,then went to mind bend,then rockabilly.This is ment to be a good statement.I like it.

    Man ,this is a great group of builds....all of you did a good job.Just outstanding work all around.Wish I could give all of you a vote.I voted for Offset Nut,because it is not a your standard build.The thin body,and the way the neck was attached.I like the shape and flow myself.Again they are all great.All could win in a different field of contenders.

    Put painters tape,or any tape, on the front and back, sence your drilling thru,mark the spots on the tape.Put your drill at a low speed,and go slow thru the wood.when you get close to breaking thru,take it real slow.You are using a drill press?The tape will control tear out.I would go thru the front.I'am sure there are some bits that are better then others ,maybe someone will have a better way.So wait for more info.

    Thank you for the kind words,I know it's different,so not everyones cup of tea.I just figure if I want what is out there ,I would just buy it already made.The guys at the geek fest. like it,course it's a different group of people.Tesico Del Rey liked it and that ment alot to me.....he's into the different.

    Thank you,it blends in pretty good,I book matched it ,as to leave a line in it.I filed back the mount,and moved the mounting hole ,where the screw goes.Of course I shaped the G in it to match the G hole.Yes it was a les paul type.

    I don't have the means to post a sound clip,but I am searching for a good unit to do it in the future.It has a good tone and plays nice,the setup is pretty sweet.I want her to play it for awhile and then I'll dial it in, let everything settle.

    The word you are looking for is "androgenous". Thanks man,I did not take that class in school.....but I did have a little kid come by the other day ,and he told me he learned half a word today,,,,he learned MOTHER....( it's a joke ) Oh , by the way ,there is more than a guitar flaming in that photo.( another joke )

    I had a neighbor that thought he had to honk ,as he drove by, it would make me jump or jurk everytime.He is a older guy so I just kinda took it.One day another neighbor stop by to chat and the subjuct came up about the horn,and we talked about it.Later I found out that the neighbor told him , as they had a good talking relationship, and he quit doing it.I know what your talking about ,head down,deep in thought ,not a good feeling.Glad you are ok, tho.Maybe a sign that says WHEN TOOLS ARE RUNNING ,YOU KEEP DOING THE SAME.
