    my next step is to list a varitone switch but call him out in the title. something like: don't buy a tele template from Ron Kirn and then list a varitone switch. And see what he does. I want this guy to go down hard.

    Any thoughts from you guys that have a lot of stuff laying around and now it needs to be moved. You all know that I have the monster router, and now a smaller one. Plus a pallet of wood too. -Derek

    this prick cancelled an auction that had these two words in the title, Guitar template.... I filled a formal legal complaint with ebay. will keep you posted.

    I would not go past 320 on sanding. Its just extra effort at that point. I have finished a lot of guitars with tru-oil and I go to 320 and then apply the tru oil. Grain filling is a pain in the ash, I personally would avoid it. just depends on how you want it to look. If you grain fill it will be smooth, if you build up a decet coat with tru-oil you will have good coverage, but not perfect... If you ding the back, with grain fill you can't just add another coat and reapply. If you just do tru-oil you can just sand a little then re-apply. just depends on what you want to do.

    if you sent the wood to tommy at usa custom he can do it. Unless they changed their policy? I wanted them to make a neck for me about a year ago, with some honduran rosewood, maybe they don't do that anymore.

    All I know is that they need busses and lots of them. I can't understand why every metro district in the south has not sent every bus to move these people. All you need is some army gas trucks, and a ton of busses. once they get out of that area, they can begin to go house by house. I have heard they are starting to put black x's on roofs of homes where people have passed. its so unreal, I wish there was more I could do....

    after all that discussion you bought the smaller one? now you going bigger? its amazing how small some tools become once you start using them. I had a scroll saw, small band saw, delta band saw, and now my rikon. I am still thinking about going to a saw that resaw over 13 inches, but for now the 18 is great. what you going to get?

    I think the politics have taken over here. lets play the blame game somewhere else. just donate what you can, and keep everyone in your thoughts. Now that you know someone has pretty much lost everything lets do what we can to help. Politics and religion are not part of this forum.

    you know I emailed this to the other forum that is out there, I got a response that was really sad. Oh well. Buy a switch, this is a deal, it normally sells for 35 bucks, you pay a little more cause its worth it. I made 18 tonight, time for bed.

    There is a choke control on it too to filter the sound a little different than just a cap in line. A varitone is like a color filter. It allows some colors through and others are filtered out.

    I concide. I didn't think I would win, I just wanted a good showing, which I did not get. oh well. I am glad it looks like phil will win he deserves it bout time a bass wins. I thought that thegarehanman would get more votes, and I was surprised to see perry get all those votes. Perry you got less votes on a killer guitar, can't remember which one that was. I love LGM comments, its great to get good reviews, not just blah blah...
