  2. You guys are making me feel very old!!! I mean being on the wrong side of 45 and all!!!!! Back to the issue though, What colour do you plan to make you axe Chris? Dragyn
  3. Thanks for the info folks. The only reason why I was questioning and looking was that at warmoth they show a modified route out for the wilky trem and I was looking for the reason why and the dimensions. Dragyn
  4. No just that I thought those guitars were fantastic!!!!!!!
  5. For what it is worth I am working on a similar concept of a dragon/wyrven guitar and decided to use flame maple and carve it out. Not sure where you are located, but I secured my pieces from Gilmer Wood; www.gilmerwood.com Dragyn
  6. I can't think of anything else to say about those axes. Dragyn
  7. Hey Litch; This is the one: http://mailboxmusic.zoovy.com/product/GBR_WBK Thanks. Dragyn
  8. Hey Folks; Refinishing a start knockoff and have a brand new wilkenson trem for it. I have tried searching all of the topics but haven't been able to find a link to get dimensions or a download drawing of the trem routing and stud placements. It has the trem hole routed for a vintage trem only with stud or screw holes drilled. ANy one have a link or a site. Thanks in advance. Dragyn
  9. Thanks for the info Jeremy. Excellent work and well worth money. Dragyn
  10. Anyone here willing to accept a commision to airbrush and image onto the Stratocaster body I am refinishing? The image is copyrighted to myself so there is not issue with that, but I am looking for a quality product for a reasonable rate and perferably in the states. Image available for review upon request. Thanks, Dragyn
  11. For grins and giggles I submitted a design to this contest (not one that I actually want to have built) with all of the specs and stuff supplied, but if they followed the design and specs, the thing would weigh about 20 lbs. and sound like a dead rock, with the headstock being impossible to machine manufacture. Will have to see if it shows up in any of the future GW mgazines. As far as those that would seriously submit a design, I picture those up and coming youth rockers with delusions of grandeur and not a whole lot of money or experience or common sense! Then again, maybe we all will be surprised. Dragyn
  12. Here is the guy that I got it from with another body up for auction. Similar body style different woods. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...3731489874&rd=1 Litch: Neck only cost me about $40.00 since I had to repair the headstock. Trying to take pictures of the inlays, but the flash washes them out and the natural lighting ruins the colour. Needless to say they are MOP and Abalone. Dragyn
  13. Some of the specs are listed in the end of the first post. 25 1/5 scale, matched pair of Kent Armstrong Humbuckers Hardtail wraparound bridge. Will try and get some close ups of the inlay work, which came with the neck. Had to rebuild the headstock on it though because it was cracked. Pieces were found, where else? On Ebay! Walnutman I believe is the Ebayer's name. He periodically posts mostly laminated wood guitar bodies. Sycamore should have similar properties to maple, making it sound on the bright side of tonality, but weighs about 3/4's the weight of maple. I will see what it looks like with all the dice on it, if it looks too much I can always take them off and put regular on. The hardware is going to be black chrome unless the dice are too much, then I will go with gold. Thanks for the comments and comps guys. Just hope it sounds as good as it looks so far! Dragyn
  14. Modified V meets warlock!!! What's the body going to be made of? Dragyn
  15. AWesome matchup and work. I can only dream about doing something that good!!! Dragyn
  16. Hey folks; As the title says this is my 3rd project. My first was a restoration of an 90's Jackson J4 which amounted to fixing chips in the finish and replacing the neck. My second was a build from pieces of a B.C. Rich 90's bronze series warlock. Not much to write home about. My 3rd project is a build from pieces again and kinda of making it a bit of a themed guitar as well. Here are some pics oif the body and neck; BODY: NECK: The dcie image was laser engraved by a friend from work. I have a bit of finish work to do in the neck pocket to fit the base of the neck properly. All of the control knobs and the tuning machine knobs will be dice as well. The body is spalted Sycamore from ebay as well as the maple and rosewood neck. It will have a matched pair of kent armstrong pups and a wraparound hardtail bridge. The scale will be 25 1/2. Any comments are most welcome. Dragyn

  21. Verily nice looking progress. Keep us up to date!!!!! Dragyn
  22. as I understand it though Sapelle needs to be very well sealed or the natural oils of the wood can start a number of nickle based metals to corrode. Something to think about Dragyn
