    Yeah, that scared me too. Looks cloudy sometimes in the first coat. Whay I dont know. If the sloudiness stays, recoat.

    I can get6 veneers, but not bookmatched. I cant get the korina yet , but walnut is in. I have some tops now.

    I often leave the tape there. Gotta do the P5J. Check guitar parts depot. If that dont work, lemme know. I paid $135 locally for mine, and $30 for the bass boost from the depot.

    This post explains the sycamore lacewood deal. The sycamore you posted is actually lacewood.

    Lacewood isnt really oak. A trade name for it is silky oak, but it is a different thing. Lacewood behaves like mahogany and alder mixed. Sounds like mahogany too. I'd reccomend a P5J setup with a bass boost for it from EMG.

    Took mine about 3 days to cure. Heat will make it blister, not speed dry time. I does work over duplicolor as well.

    the scale is still 24.75, but the 1275 only has 20 frets, not 22. That may make it look longer.
