  2. Deft semi gloss is good too. It is areosal nitro based too
  3. Oak would be a good choice, due to it's open geain. Walnut would give it a nice subdued look, but still preserve the rough look of the Cross
  4. I am sure he does. He doesnt have pros in stock last I knew. Free shipping.....hmmm
  5. http://www.universaljems.com has saga bodies and necks, and cheap prices on the kits. Never seen the torres kit you speak of. The best kits I would say are the carvins and USA Custom Guitars.
  6. Only where the tint didnt match. I'll just dye and clear that.
  7. Huh, anyone else? I can see em fine, but......
  8. We have 60 and 80 within minutes of each other. Ran, then shine, then rain, and shine again.
  9. Yeah, big pores. Just sealer? Can I still stai black and sand back?
  10. If you have a bottom bearing bit in your set, you can take that one off and take a smaller bearing off of say your roundover bit and put it on. It'll be the right size for 1 ply binding
  11. thin the finish? I spritzed it with water. It is still pretty much raw
  12. Can this be none now(rough sanding) or when I get to finish sanding? Help! I have never had to deal with this. It is in quilted maple. I dont know how well the pics show it, but they are 1/16" to 1/8" deep. What can I do?
  13. 1 11/16" I guess growing up playing an ond Harmony Soverign and gibson copies with long fingers spoiled me. But a fender with a wider nut feels wrong. For them, I like the 1 5/8". Go figure
  14. I did just about what you are talking about. Use some of the LMI or Stewmac dyes and test on some scrap until you have the desired color. I didnt bleach the wood either
  15. Huh, I just said I dont like my own work. Maybe because I tried so hard to be innovative I forgot what the real goal was. Quality, not innovation. For the record, I do like what I am doing now.
