  1. Like you said, you used Scratch-X right? When your done applying that i would recommend using Deep Crystal System Paint cleaner. Meguiar Polishing
  2. It could be your strings arent grounded and/or your amp isnt grounded correctly. This means checking the solder joints on you trem, your main solder points and see if the third prong on your power cord for your amp is lose or missing.
  3. Yup, but if you dont want to tung the body you can just buy cans of clear coats...

  6. Im pretty sure it splits a humbucker into a singe coil by using an DPDT switch. So say the switch is on, that means that your only using one coil of the pickup, now if you switch it, then your using the 2 coils of the humbucker. But hey i could be wrong.
  7. Try Dupont White Polish Glaze...i think its called that. Where are you located?
  8. You can try using 3M Fine cut buffing compound and then 3M Finesse it II machine polish. BTW, welcome!
  9. Yea im looking at the SD's but the only bad thing is they dont show the grounds wires and were they solder to. I ground the volume pot by bending the third lug back and then soldering it to the back of the pot rite?
  10. Its a TOM with a stopbar tail piece also...
  11. If you get a run or dust in the clear, sand that spot down until its gone. But when your done with your last coat of clear, start with 600 wet until 2000, but in your case 1500. Start with 600, and stop once all the paint appears dull and flat. Then sand with 800 until the scratches from the previous grit is gone. And keep doing that. Then when you reach 1500, you can buy 3M Fine Cut Rubbing Compound. You can rub that in with a cotton cloth. When your done with the fine cut rubbing compound, get 3M Finesse It II. Rub that in and your paint will look like glass!
  12. Well my dad found the old wiring on the ground cause i had unsoldered it from the output jack and threw em out. Do i solder them all in one puddle of solder?
  13. Yup. Sand the wood nice and flat before shes finished, sand the color coat dry, then sand the last clear coat with wet....Simple as pie
  14. Well i installed some seymour duncans into my Gibson LP and i dont know how or where to solder the grounds. Should i solder all the gorunds on the bottom of the volume pot, then run a wire to the bridge. Or should i solder all the leads together and run a wire to the bridge? Any help would be cool. Its a 2 pup,1 vol 1 tone 3 way setup...
