  1. I've got 3 letters for you BFD...I'm a drummer myself, and honestly...this software's so damn good no-one would EVER be able to tell the if it's a real drummer or not...
  2. Well, I live in Sweden, so I think that it would be kinda costly to powdercoat them anywhere else. But thanx for the info..
  3. Hi! I'm thinking of powdercoating my tele neck pickup cover white, would this affect the sound??
  4. Holy crap!!! those prices are abot 1/5th of the boss prices in sweden!!!
  5. As for the international copyright laws...It was legal to download music from the internet where I live up until a couple of weeks ago...I don't think it was like that all over the world..
  6. have you actually looked at it?it is not paisley,it is an image of a multitude of demons(or possibly tortured souls) bathed in a sea of fire. at least that is how i see it ← I just think they look like red monkeys...
  7. Jeff, that's true so far as it goes, but fraud is a criminal complaint, while trademark infringement is a civil cause of action - you do understand the difference, right? And not only is the burden of proof reduced in civil court (...beyond a reasonable doubt... is relaxed to ...the preponderance of the evidence supports...), but they don't have to show intent - even inadvertent infringement is actionable. SO while you can't go to jail (the result of a criminal prosecution) for infringement, you can end up owing the plaintiffs your next 30 years salary. Did you guys miss the whole Monster Cable campaign of terror - they shut down all kinds of people without even haviing a case!! How long are you going to last if Hoshino decides to make an example of you? Anybody fancy a quick trip out to California (at your own expense) to answer a complaint in civil court? This is ludicrous - I don't care if you cheat on your taxes, lie to your girlfriend about leaving your wife, or steal from the collection plate, because that's your own karma, and none of my business, but the fact that something feels OK to you doesn't make it any less illegal. If you can get right wih it, go for it, but be aware that there could be consequences. ← If you haven´t noticed...buckethead's from australia...I'm not sure about these specific laws...but you do know that american laws don't apply to the rest of the world right..?
  8. CORRECT ← So you´re actually saying that what he´s doing up to the point of completing the guitar Is legal...So what´s actually your problem then if he's telling you he's not gonna sell it?? You can't really prosecute people because you think they're gonna commit a crime.. Not really... Hey, what about stickers..they carry the companys logo...Are you not allowed to put them on anything then?? And as fo the toyota/Lamborghini... that´s not a very good comparison...It's more like building an exact replica of the shelby 427 ac cobra...a car wich is to most people unavailable (kinda like a lefty jem)..And some people go as far as making them a perfect replica with the same engine etc...What's really the big deal if they stick the shelby logos on it..?They wouldn't be able to sell it as an original anyway..
  9. Many of those guitars don´t have the pickugard signed..but the body... And good luck getting Axl Rose to sign the same guitar as slash...And If they would have signed it before steven and izzy left the group...don´t you think that he would have sold it in the last 15 years??
  10. Wonder what type of Fender style guitar that is btw..they must have been making them for some time since the original lineup of guns n´roses has signed one...as well as eminem...
  11. A POS guitar wouldn´t still be as popular after 50 years...
  12. Umm...he want´s to build a jem...since there are no (real) jems for leftys...Of course He wants it to be as close to the original as possible...There is some personal benefit to some people in actuallty making it look as close to the real thing as possible...Maybe you don´t agree with this since you feel differently about it... But he´s not gonna sell it...and If he were...leftys would know that the only lefty jem is the 555 anyway...
  13. If you´re a decent photographer a cool idea would be to take a photo of your piece of wood...and use that as a texture..That way you could render the guitar with the correct grain pattern..
  14. I did that in 10 min today...while cooking my dinner..You can kinda see what the wood textures look like in Sw...
  15. Is it just me...or does that bass look really small sitting in that chair..looks kinda like the whole neck is just about as long as the the back of the chair...
  16. I use SolidWorks 2004 for a lot of stuff in school etc... It´s really easy for a newbie to learn actually..W/o any tutorials or anything I could make a basic Lamborghini Countach shape after a week of playing around with the program every now & then...And you can render different types of materials as well.. It just makes it heaps more fun to work with when your models actually look something like it would do in reality...It is quite expensive, but you could always get it of the internet or something
  17. I´m relly no expert on this topic since I´ve just started using a wah pedal..I´ve got a crybaby 535Q and I love it...It´s got adjustable wah range and adjustable Q...so you can get most types of ranges n stuff..And yeah, you can really get it to sound likes someone´s puking.. It hasn´t got true bypass...But It has adjustable bypassboost...
  18. Yeah...Australia sure is a wonderful country...lived there for 10 months once before..going to visit my family in 2 weeks..really looking forward to it.. Another plus is that it seems to a lot easier to get supplies for building guitars in australia than in sweden... .. Are there any austrlians on this forum??
  19. Hi Everyone... My name is Carl Davidsson, 18 years old...live in Sweden... I´m all new to guitarbuilding, however I´ve been playing for 8 years now.. I got one of them kit guitars to get me started a while ago...but I haven´t been able to assemble it yet...When I bought it I lived in a house with an empty garage where I was going to paint it..But my parents moved to Australia and I now live in an apartment since I´ve got to graduate...wich leaves me with nowhere to work...So I´m getting someone else to paint it for me...wich leaves only the assembly (and paintjob design) to me... However I´m moving to Oz next year and will get started on building guitars from scratch there...until then I just wanna read up on as much information on building guitars as possible...and hopefully also provide some of my knowledge on guitars to this forum... I´ve been doing alot of reading here already and I gotta say this forum REALLY kicks ass....
  20. http://www.kevineubanks.com/guitars.aspx there are som better close up´s there where you can see how wide the neck is...
  21. Hi.. I´m building (assembling) my first kit-guitar...this guy I know hooked me up with a proffesional airbrusher... I´ve got to hand the guitar in on wednesday...and I still got no clue what to put on it?...Do any of u have a cool idea for a paintjob?
