    personally if i had come up with that, i would make 5 or 6 variations on it and see whats best. thats what i did with my current shape. and im glad i did. but i think it looks cool. keep it up

    After some dispute of where it went, and coming to terms with the fact it was lost. i recently found my dremel tool. flex shaft and all. Cant find any of the bits though But my question was this. What should be done prior to using the tool, in order to ensure it works well. Its been a few years since its been used. should it be oiled? have the brushes changed? and what kits should I buy, or should i just buy bit by bit? Im going to use it for alot of stuff. should it be dremel brand? or are there better companies now? sorry for the data overload... haha

    so if one was to install a single humbucker at the bridge, and a switch, just one, what would be the 3 or so best wiring combos?

    thats why im trying to stop smashing things... may i reccomend falling to your knees and pounding the ground with your fists? youll be thankfull in the long run. but at least ur paining it. if you were leaving it wood, then youd be in trouble.

    so youre using two single coils? going for the jazz bass sound? jazzes are great. I love the look of the bobbins, very handmade looking. I love when something looks worn or odd, and turns out to sound a million times better than it looks. like getting beat beat by a dodge omni glhs. haha

    Hey there, Im planning out a fretless 4 string bass, and was curious about neck angle. Is there any difference between the principles of neck angles on fretted and fretless basses? Im making my own bridge, and was curious if i should plan for a neck angle. Thanks Chris

    i think if you add some detail lines to the inlay it will look cool. i think you sribe then fill with black epoxy. i thought it was a mastadon at first. I dunno if you know the band. im not a fan of them. but i think the elephant is cool and very unique. i think i may go with a flying pig, seeing as youll prolly see one of those by the time i finish mine. lol. how did you do your carve? its great

    is that real metal or is it pick guard material? if its metal, youll have to baby the hell out of it. for 1000 CDN u have alot of options, wait a month or two till u got a lil buy something else. if u got a bass as is, u may as well wait abit. I dont think that huge bridge will add much sustain over a badass or something like that. JMO. but it looks cool. dunno how cool it would be to polish every day.

    all i can say is that the tele reminds me of the kramer i let slip away last year. checkered with a floyd, and a sweet daffy duck sticker. i shoulda bought it, only 110 canadian. and checkered vans rule !

    i like it. i didnt till u said u were carving the horns "like bullets" Ive seeen alot of great looking heavily carved basses that i didnt like uncarved. so dont be offended. wat u got for a headstock shape? i cant wait to see this. like that u are making fast progress. no job? or no sleep? jk.

    yo u cant just blast someone in open forum, u shoulda Pm'ed him. now its a $hitstorm, other ppl will want to flame too. haha. yeah i thought it was kinda weird that he mentioned the whole ebay thing. why would u make this and be ready to sell it before its done. why wouldnt you keep it? i dunno, maybe i just feel heat and want to pour gas on the fire... if hes inspired you that much, you wouldnt sell this guitar.

    Some sweet a$$ relic'ing going on there. i think theres too much sanding going on, shoulda mounted the belt buckle bare on a palm sander i like it. my buddy is all about yngwie. keep it up.

    yeah my bass level is rather low, and most of my low frequency goes to my 15. i think i may try it, but im looking at the zoom 708II multi effects. its got so much efeects, and it can sample up to 20 mins. even though i only need like 30 sec max, but it has octave dividers in it i think.

    there is a product, which i cannot remmeber the link to. but it was posted in the forum. it simply sticks onto your board. and best of all it can be reused on any guitar or bass.

    im pretty sure that les claypool uses on on the oysterhead CD too. like if its making a sound close to that of a 6 string bass, then it cant be doing much damage, or the same would have to hold true about 6 string basses too. so basically you are saying that the divider will produce a note well below the minimal frequency of the speaker? is it not possible to make a cut off to prevent it from hitting too low? Thanks

    I am looking at octave divider effects and was curious if there was an instrument specific way to make one. like for a bass, as opposed to guitar. Anyone know much about them?

    carls first was alot nicer looking than that. on the ctbasses.com site, there is one that wes borland made. and its looking alot like that one at the top. http://www.ctbasses.com/picview.php?src=we...lunfinished.jpg its nicer than the one at the top. but it has that gumby quality i just dont like.

    I saw a kool neck blank sized piece of quartersawn padouk on gilmer wood. 12 bucks. would padouk be stable enough for a one piece neck? or a 3 piece with a maple stripe?

    ill try to get some pics of the work my friend has. hes got a huge battle scene covering his chest, and 3 huge snakes that take up hi whole lower leg. makes me want one so bad.
