Well because the weather just started getting nice so I started working but my mom took the camera because she was out in korea and japan. So now the cameras back you get to see my stuff. Well the les paul and double cutaway bodies are worthless and are just there for fun, im not going to use them because some things went wrong with them but Im making those necks and that body I made from that top MetalMatt gave me. I used alder for that body. Birdseye prs style is going on that guitar. And...wow i forget what type of wood that neck is made out of. Oh yeah, I got a great deal of Iroko at the local wood store. Dimensions of the board was 168x14x2. All of that was for 170. 8 blanks . Well the stuff has a little figure in it, can't wait to get a planer to thin the thing down a bit. Hey this is pointed towards DC, MD builders. Im having a pretty free summer and I was wondering if by any chance any of you guys could just help me out or something. I know this sounds weird but I want to take advantage of my free time this summer with someone with more experience than me. I would pay for everything, and supply myself with everything, its just for help and guidance. Or if any of you guys know a local luthier?

haha blue, you should listen to some faith no more, they have some heavy bass lines, they kinda remind me of RHCP's early work where flea actually whooped out that bass like a man

My friend let me listen to the Faith no More version and my hair just shot up, I was just having my cigarrette listening to it with headphones and I got pumped for no reason. Faith no Mores by far for me

My words of advice is dont move too fast and dont EVER say or think "EH, its alright like that"...with a little more time and effort its completely worth it

Oh yeah thats what I meant, I would use the cover template and do my method.

Hmm I have a tedious idea. Take the cavity cover template and draw it on a piece of thin scrap wood of some sort. Than drill press inside the area than when I need to, that my oscilatting sander and sand inside in the lines untill its perfect. Hopefully that makes sense.

Im working on something right now and what has always baffled me was I bought the template for the PRS from guitarbuildingtemplates.com and they give you a backside template with the control cavity routing guide, but also and addition template for the cavity cover. Just wondering, how do I make the lip for the cavity? I know theres an easy solution for this but I'm slow

Wow this is was a tough month but that bass just kills me. Gorgeous spalt and just a flawless job. I also loved Setchs long awaited Les paul. Godins was awesome too. the tele had a color and clear on it and the leviathans colors were nice
