  1. sorry about a very dumb question, but what do you mean by a droptop?
  2. thanks Kevin, is there a specail jig you made for the neck angle? sorry for so much questions, but you did so good on this first project
  3. does the neck have an angle? im sort of confused with the angles so im trying to catch someone early on also, did you perfect the walnut part of the body first then put the top on and made it flush? or did you glue both blanks on then cut them out as a pair? thanks...great job again
  4. looks really good. that walnut seems really light though. anyways great job
  5. i could also make a tutorial...if anyone is interest and its very easy
  6. "NOT FENDER..." no, really? I could of sworn that was a Strat
  7. will do like i said, im going to add some meat on the rear and perfect/scale up the design, ill let you know soon
  8. hopefully it turns out awesome...but yet again a couple feet in the pictures
  9. i like that fret idea with the stainless steel rods
  10. i never was a fan of normal shaped guitar haha and i simply HATE strats
  11. pine is a really weak, sappy wood...i dont know much more other then it really sucks. i was making a table out of pine and it kept splintering...drove me nuts good luck
  12. i got a good feel for all the tools and such...believe it or not my mockingbird bass came out good (aside that i ran out of funds and started guitar:P) but now i have a job and can afford parts:D
  13. yeah ill do some mockups on some old poster backs and try to scale everything up
  14. the pickup i kinda just threw on to see what it would look like...dont worry, ill make room
  15. so yeah Matt (METALMATT) has been helping me alot to come up with a unique guitar design...i he came up with one i really like. i only changed the part where the neck pocket is but other then that, its all Matt hope you guys like it...im not sure what all the woods are going to be...flame top and flame fretboard though dyed black so you can still see the figure. Fixed bridge and a push/pull pot for volume and tone. single EMG pick up.
  16. looking good man...is it just me or is it pretty big?
  17. you might want to make one of the pictures a link...mods will get mad since your only allowed one picture per post (i believe)
  18. well actually i want some nice quilt/flame maple...but if i am unable to get some (for whatever reasons) i will end up just painting the guitar black and doing some flames like that. if anyone is interested why i want to do THOSE flames, its because a guitarist from one of my favorite bands has that exact guitar
  19. i was thinking of doing a flame job like this if i cant find any quilt/flame maple that i like: id do it black+red flames though...how much would that cost? since i have no expirience with paint so yeah...
