If it is 2s foam tape, try fishing line... Wrap it around two sticks then clothesline the fishing line between the badge and the headstock and slowly pull and "cut" through the tape. Cleanup remains with goo gone. It works with debadging cars.

What exactly is a varitone and what does it do? Can it be used with an active pickup like the SD blackouts? TIA
