  7. man that looks awesome. i see u also have an esp old school flying v. i got one of those that i have had since 1998. i like where the input jack is on the rhoads too. looks like it would make wiring a lot easier. i might have to try that on my sharkfin v project. kool stuff man... -RAF
  8. i agree...that sounds about right...or maybe just a bad set... -RAF
  9. I am using alder on my neckthru....does the alder need a grain filler? thanks -RAF

  12. Actually I am all metal straight up...just like 1 pickup. thanks a lot for the help...Another question...how do i ground it if im using a TOM? do i just drill a hole to one of the posts and solder a wire? or is there a better way? thanks. -RAF
  13. I posted this question elsewhere in the forum but I think I put it in the worng place before...sorry. I am sure this is on here somewhere...but i tried looking and couldn't find it. Any way I am installing a single SD Invader in the bridge position of my new guitar project. The electronics are the one humbucker and one volume knob. It has been about 7 years since I have done any kind of wiring in a guitar and I have never done single hum wiring. Can any one pass me a link on how to do it or just explain it to me? Thanks a ton. -RAF

  15. i once had a strat when i was learning to play and i accidentally popped one of the knobs off with a screwdriver, then i popped it right back on. so ya just pop those puppies off. -RAF
  16. i know there have been threads on this. but everyone seems to like them. why not use the search and do some research instead of expecting others to do it for you.
  17. ya it shouldnt be much more difficult to stain with the neck on. im building a neck thourhg so i have no choice. -RAF
  18. lookin good man. im hoping mine turns out that good. i have no woowdworking experience but the project has begun any way lol. -RAF
  19. very nice...that is all. -RAF BTW, you wouldnt happen to do any mountain biking would you?
  20. 1. no, that should be ok, just paint it so u cant see the line. 2. should be fine with 1.5", its pretty much preference there. I would put tops on 'em. 3. not to sure, but i would buy some rosewood or ebony and just make fretboards to put on top. 4. not sure about that one. sounds like the plan you have is pretty good tho. i think if you wanted 2 more necks you would be best off buying a little extra wood seeing as how you got such a deal on this. -RAF
  21. im a pointy guitar metal guy, but i think that thing looks awesome. great workl man!! -RAF
