  1. well how did u get started cuz i really want to try building a pedal. ive been looking at the tweako kit but i dont have a whole lot of money and i thought buying stuff from radio shack would be cheaper. if its not i will get the tweako
  2. i mean how does it affect the sound. like whats the difference between a low one and a high one?
  3. the reason i choose the micro amp is cuz it looked like the easiest one there. wut does the different values of the resistors do?
  4. i plan on building the MXR micro amp or the Distortion +.
  5. isnt there a way where u can add them together? i dont no where i heard that but is it true
  6. ok i just got some resistors from my school and i decided to build a pedal. here are the values and amount i have of each six 24ohms +/- 5% five 30ohms +/-5% six 20ohms +/-5% four 130ohms +/-5% three 43ohms +/-5% six 91ohms +/-5% wuts the difference between them, like would a higher value give me more gain or something like that? i plan of building a distortion pedal. could i get the rest of the parts i need from radio shack or frys? i no radio shack is way over priced but i dont feel like dealing with ordering them off the internet what else would i need?
  7. what are you going to be doing to the other body (the messed up one)?
  8. the only problem i see with those headstocks is u might hit your hands on the "horns" that are at the bottom. besides that they r pretty badass.
  9. i like mahogany but i was just curious on wut other woods are out there that sound simular. ill prolly use mahogany in the end but i want to know all of my options because i dont want to regret my purchase later. but thatks for the help
  10. did u get rid of the other capacitor or do u have 2 for one pot?
  11. based off what your saying i dont think ill be using it since it is my first build. but wut would be a good wood that has a tone simular to mahogany and easy to work with. i have nothing against (sp?) mahogany but i want to see if i can find a something that has an intresting or different grain. not sure if this helps but i play mainly rock and metal. thanks for all the help so far
  12. i was wondering what are the tonal properties of Padouk? I personaly think it would look great with an ebony fret board. how would that sound? also how would a Padouk body sound and would it look good?
  13. wow that is turnin out great. wut kind of pickups r u going to be using?
  14. has anyone ever had experiance with the guyaton Slow Volume? or any other guyaton effects? all help is greatly appreciated
